I'm like a kid in the candy store at the grocery store this time of year. So much beautiful fruit!

So, if you were to eat dry fruit pulp and then followed up with fruit juice, you would be OK with the sugar?

It's a lot harder to eat too much fruit than it is to eat too much candy. (Note: dried fruit and sugar-injected fruit juice are pretty close to candy.)
You might be able to find somebody who got fat on fruit, I don't know. I'm not holding my breath. As already mentioned, if it doesn't give you the drips, I don't see a big problem.

everything in balance. Is it that hard to grasp?
Exactly. For me, "too much" can mean more than one banana, or more than half an apple. More than that causes "issues." :QOriginally posted by: BoomerD
Bah, as long as you don't eat so much that it gives you the sh!ts, go for it...
About 4 years ago, I cut out all starchy carbs and sugar. (the white granulated crap)
I don't metabolize simple carbs very well, (make me sleepy) but complex carbs are fine.
(no, I'm NOT diabetic or even truly hypoglycemic...I've been tested)
I ate salads, fruit (usually chopped pineapple, watermelon, grapes and strawberries) plus some grilled meat.
I did that for about 8 months, and lost over 40 lbs.
Then I blew out my knee and my back, and was home for my wife to cook for me on a regular basis...bye-bye weight loss...(god that woman can cook!)

I've been eating 2 bananas a day + half of a cantalope for the past 6 years or so, 5 days a week for lunch.
The past year, I've been having 1 pear, and 1 apple late in the evening as well.
Yet, my cholesterol has gone up! ( I really think they mixed my blood sample with someone else's @ the doctor's office)

not usually, unless you have an allergy. If I eat too many cherries and peaches, I get allergic reactions (my lip swells up and feels hot, and my eye lides swell)</end quote></div>
I also have this allergy. It's called the "oral fruit allergy syndrome"
I recently learned that it isnt actually a food allergy, however. The reaction comes from an allergy to birch. This is interesting because it can therefore be cured by taking allergy shots, whereas a true food allergy cannot.

Fruit is awesome. Everytime I go to the grocery store I get a pound of strawberries, but those only last me two days.

Mmm I also have some at home too 😀. Along with some pears (normal whole pears and pear halves) and green grapes. Only hippies eat the red ones.
As people said, nothing really wrong, but fruit does have sugar in it.
