A "meat and potatoes" meal makes me feel great afterwards, so not for me at least.

you don't think ancient people ate bread and meat at the same time or what?? evolution would have solved this had it been a problem.

hmm... i read an article somewhere, i will try find it again...

well... i thought proteins has an acidic reaction while carbs has an alkalitic effect.

Jesus, where does this crap come from? Is everyone out there these days trying to come up with some dietary BS to scare you into their diet plan? Junk science seems to be all that is left these days. Eat what you want if it makes you feel good and controls your wieght to your desire. If everything was as dangerous as people are led to believe these days we would have gone extinct ages ago.

Almost all foods are acidic when digested, except plant matter.. with some exceptions to that. Most cereal grains are acidic when digested.
