You probably need more motivation to lift weights. It is probably good to stay in shape just in case if you have to defend yourself in a fight plus you don't look like a fat slob.

i never lift weights, that's much too strenuous & i'm too
fatigued to do my Tae-Bo workouts.

I'm guessing by your sig that that was sarcasm. :Q ;)

As for me, I enjoy it once I motivate myself enough to go to the gym, which hasn't been enough lately.

Goals. goals, goals.

You need a reason to be in there or you might as well stay home. I'm not that crazy about lifting weights but I set goals and that keeps me going. Right now I'm training for a 65 km mountain bike race. Doing weights in the off season helps balance out the my weekness on the bike and works muscle that cycling does not.

Oh and it also make me look good. :D

When I need motivation to lift-

If you don't like lifting, then don't lift. No big deal. If the desire ever comes back, you'll be back at the gym.

I like lifting, but when I push myself too hard I can find myself dreading it.

My gym is in the backyard so it's not hassle to "go to the gym" at all. Maybe you should just do some floor exercises in your room.

I recommend doing a sh*t load of push-ups, sit-ups, and running. Ive been doing that everyday for about 2-3 years and im still loving it.

That's kind of like living off bread and water.
