is it all G0's now?

I'm looking to buy a Q6600 G0 (just like everyone else in the world...) and either I see B3 stepping listed (at Mwave) or I don't see a stepping listed at all. So, are the G0's out there or should I still wait before buying?

Side Question: I'd like to OC my rig but I don't want to set my comp a flame. What would be a decent OC for the Q6600 that I don't really need to worry about. Odds are I'll be leaving it on 24/7 until I reach the end of the internet or adult films, whichever comes first. :)

Thanks

Depends what country you're in. Cetainly not in the UK. Slightly unscrupulous if you ask me but over here retailers have priced the G0 steppings significantly higher than the others. They're also all out of stock anyway. Swines.

I'm in the US.

Here's a silly question Energizer. Could you order it from a US site and have it shipped to there or perhaps a friend in the US who can then ship it to you?

Second silly question: I still have some Arctic Silver 5 Compound I bought in 2004. Would it still be good?

I could do that mate but there are a couple of things that make it a little problematic

1. I get hit for import tax when it arrives here
2. Warranties may not be valid outside of US boundaries (and sending it back if there was a problem would be a nightmare)

Re: the paste - not sure tbh. Given how cheap paste is I would just get some new stuff anyway - just to be sure.

zipzoomfly.com = sometimes G0 sometimes B3
newegg.com = sometimes G0 sometimes B3
mwave.com = sometimes G0 sometimes B3 (probably B3 but they will not update specs to reflect the G0)
clubit.com = G0 in stock but more expensive and B3 out of stock
tankguys.com = G0 only and out of stock also much more expensive and much more expensive shipping :roll:

I'd take my chances with newegg over the others (unless you are willing to pay a few dollars more on the chip and more expensive shipping through clubit) because newegg is most buyer's first choice when ordering computer hardware. Likeliness of B3 stock being depleted is higher. Zipzoomfly does have slightly cheaper pricing. Just a few dollars.
