About 7 to 12 years ago I bought a computer that was very small. The screen size was about Tablet size. It was very powerful. I used it for vacationing. Did a lot with mapping (MapInfo & Delorme xMap. It was a bit of an over kill but it was my only toy.

It was recently stolen and I have to come up with the MFG & model. It was a very unique computer, a one and only. It must have been about 12" x 8", very approximate. The thickness was about 1 to 1.5 inches.

It sold for about $1800 and I bought it at a CompUSA store back when they had stores. Thanks for taking the time to read this topic.

Toshiba had the Libretto series out then .. not sure about Hitachi, but Fujitsu had the Lifebook series ..both were small ..not sure about 'powerful', but they were configurable to be competitive .. The next smaller laptops were the smaller Toshiba Porteges..a little larger than the two I mentioned .. Librettos were plastic , as I recall ..the Portege were magnesium .. Google these for some images ..

I have a Hitachi laptop right now with a Transmeta chip in it. It is very light but slow because it came only with flash drive and it is 10 years old roughly. Maybe they made a similar laptop for Intel processors?

Trying to find someone that could furnish me with the name was a needle in a haystack. Thanks for making my day. Yes it was the Libretto that was stolen from me.
