Is It A Good Idea To Microwave A Persimmon?

Used to pick them up and eat them in the woods when I was hunting as a kid. They really arent bad. Very unique sort of heavy, sweet taste.
They didnt really look like what that guy has though. They were a lot smaller and had a lot of hard tissue intermixed with the fruit.

Yea I too ate persimmons as a kid. Did not like them at all. But that thing in that clip is an orange tomato lol.

Are you sure it was a persimmon? I only know of 2 types, fuyu and hachiya, neither has any hard tissue mixed with fruit.

That's a hachiya persimmon in the video. You're supposed to have it ripen after picking it. When it's ripen the inside turns into a mushy custard. You cut off the top and scope out the goodness with a spoon.
