I personally ran a cat5 in regular white pvc 1 foot below ground to my neighbor...shared cable internet for a year with zero trouble. Well there was one problem I busted her main water line and had to pay a plumber to come out and fix it )-:

Funny looking back on it though (-:

OMG! Dude, I could pick up $100/month if I offered my neighbors shared 5.0 mbit DSL access for $20/month each. One house on either side, one behind, and two diagonal behind. I'll run it through PVC pipe. $1200 a year, baby!!!

Hmm whomever said that no one should ever run Cat-5 through conduit and said that anyone in networking knows this...

Well i work for the school district and since our schools have even had a network, we have been running conduit with Cat-5, Cat-6, Cat-3 and Fiber through them. So far (in about 9 years) we have had no issues with you. Are the 'Do's and Dont's' just theorys, or are we just lucky?

LOL, the worst "shock to the system" will be when the cable company discovers the hookup and you go back to dial-up.
