Any action is justifiable. That includes violence.
That kind of thinking is the source of most problems in this world. I wonder if Mahatma Gandhi thought that too!

Oh, Afghanistan. Yeah, that's exactly where you want to get your "Islam" information. Thanks for clearing that up.
Which country, in your opinion, has the best form of islamic law in practice? Saudi Arabia? Turkey?

making stuff up again I see.....If you want to bash the way these countries are practicing Islam, I'll join you -whole-heartedly. As a matter of fact, you won't find anyone more critical to life in "muslim" countries, than muslims themselves.

No, just reporting from experience living in the most populous Arab nation for 18 years, and reading oppositional and governmental Arab newspapers for 18 years, and going to a governmental university for 7 years...

Your experiences seem to be the opposite if my own experiences growing up in the middle east and returning yearly to visit...
Most Muslims just want to be left along to live their lives....
Whats interesting is that what you say is not being reported in any main stream Muslim new papers and I would bet that let`s say your statement is true... why are they not speaking out against their Muslim life in those countries.....just asking?
This thread and a lot of opinions contained within are full of fail.
All religions have claimed to be the perpetrators of peace while all have either overtly or covertly led slaughters to further advance their beliefs. What is being done is a snapshot in time is being taken and looked at in a vacuum while all transgressions that were committed by those condemning the religion of violence de jour are conveniently forgotten and dismissed.
Get over your arrogant and blatantly hypocritical selves. More people have died in the name of religion than any other reason outside of natural causes. Just because you are cherry picking what religion you want to blame at this current time doesn't diminish the track record of the past.
