just because you're created equal doesn't mean you're treated equally.

That's not true at all.

Galatians 3:28-29
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all are one in Jesus Christ. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Yes, Christians certainly took that passage to heart

People screw up in huge, hideous ways, history proves it. Just goes to show that Christians aren't any better than anyone else - and shouldn't portray themselves that way. They should strive to live up to Biblical passages like that, and sometimes they do succeed (a single example: Quakers helping slaves escape), but there's no arguing that all too often, they don't succeed, or don't try. Don't write off the instructions because they're not being followed though, that makes little sense.

God doesn't see skin color, he's not racist. we are all his children, so he doesn't care if your mate is a different race.

therefore no, interracial marriage is not a sin.

I was never taught it was a Sin, but was taught it would be a difficult thing for the couple to deal with.

Short answer: No.

Slightly longer version: No one who reads the entire Bible with an open mind will come to the conclusion that interracial marriages are sinful. There is no verse that can be used to support this anywhere. The only explanations that the ultra-conservative southern independent KKK-member Baptists can come up with are very feeble and fall down quickly under analysis even by those who aren't seminary graduates or veteran preachers.

Exactly. Next your going to find gay people protesting straight marriages are against the bible and all will go to hell.

What a good post (no sarcasm). You're exactly right!

For some bizarre and inexplicable reason, a lot of people read the Bible and seem to find things that aren't actually there. This phenomenon is not new. Shakespeare noted it in "The Merchant of Venice," when he wrote, "The devil can cite scripture for his purpose." (NOT a biblical quote btw, contrary to prevailing opinion).

Heh... No.

Even if it were, who cares? It would, obviously, be outdated nonsense.

No, it's not a sin.

However, you must be prepared for the unfavorable judgement, comments, and opinions by others who would not approve. The interracial situation adds much complexity into a relationship, which is in and of itself a complex thing. If you are not prepared or not willing to endure the pressures and troubles of an interracial relationship, it might not be such a good idea. If she's what you know you want, and you and her are willing to endure anything for this relationship......then it sounds like a good thing.

In a perfect world we wouldn't even have to worry about this.:(
