Is Intel to blame here

I ordered my e6600 and am looking forward to getting it from buy.com (I hope, reviews of their site have got me nervous)

But the point of my post is not buy.com it is Intel and the situation they created. I see smaller e-tailors like tankguys being squeezed here. But are they to blame? or are bigger fish at fault? We all like the candy man. But what happens when he can?t deliver?

The truth of the matter is Intel released a product extremely under priced for the amount of performance and supply. Look at their previous generation products P4 extreme; this product had a high price to performance ratio. Now compare this to the new Conroe parts, look at their price to performance ratio mix in the supply and demand problems and you can see that something going on over at Intel.

What is it?
Week leadership?
Corporate warfare?
Falling market share?

You mean the "tooth of the matter". Lol, j/k.

Yes, Intel is to blame here. They are rakin' in the dough and squeezing people!

This isn't really new. I mean.. with almost every hardware release, there is bound to be some supply issues, INITIALLY.

As for the smaller retailers getting squeezed.. thats always been the case as well. The big names get more of a supply over the small mom & pop shops. That has always been the case.

Yes, Intel is to blame. The Conroe is putting a hurting on Intel. Sales fell off a cliff for the remaining 80% of their products.

Yep... Intel isn't going to ship alot of their greatest and latest to those not so well known retailers and mom & pop shops.

They are evil. They forced me to sell my perfectly fine, but slower, Opteron and order a dual-core Conroe.

Those bastards!
