Is 'In Time' going to be the next 'InCeption'?

I've seen this plot before, probably 20 years ago, in a what was must have been an Outer Limits episode. I think everyone worked for "credits" and you could gamble those credits. Some young lady in her 20's was at a casino gambling, and loosing, and begging people for credits while dying.

Inception: Directed by Christopher Nolan
Batman Begins: Directed by Christopher Nolan

The comparison was made by others who said Inception has nothing in common with In-time other than the one actor to which I drew the comparison of Inception to Batman Begins because they share that same actor in addition to the director. Learn to follow the thread! 🙄

Looks good, I very much doubt it being on the same level as Inception...i liked the directors other movies Gattaca & Lord of War though

No, the trailer was pretty terrible. Girl I was with thought it looked awesome though, so I'll probably end up seeing it. /sigh

I didn't realize Andrew Niccol wrote it. I'd say that it means it is more likely to be good but that dude wrote Lord of War and S1m0ne in addition to the movies of his I love.

I plan to see it even though I expect it to be terrible. I just want to see how they rationalize the concept. And to laugh at the concept. I'm coincidentally reading a novel by Ursula Le Guin that is a barely veiled statement on communism and democracy with a main character named "Shevek" ... couldn't be more obvious and silly. I think it will be a nice complement to see this movie which looks equally obvious and silly.

lol S1m0ne was sooo bad

Couldn't really get into Lord of War, and I'm actually a fan of 50% of Nic Cage's roles.
watda.. Lord of War is one of my favorite movies ever. It's definitely my fav nick cage movie. I was thrilled to watch a movie where it's so twisted that you mentally give up, drop your morals, and root for true evil. It's awesome.

just got back. really enjoyed it. there is one really badass scene towards the end of the movie as well.

timberlake can definitely act now too.

In Time

In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage - a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system.

Inception

In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date: Inception.

I don't see any similarity in the plot/storyline at all. 🙄
