Is HomeBrewerDude crazy to have me scan 700 folders?

I've collected about 12 years of work from a senior researcher at my job since they were taking up a lot of room in his office. He doesn't have the heart to just throw them away (I don't think donating them to a library would work) but he needs them organized to work on intellectual property rights.

Do you think it's crazy that HomeBrewerDude has me scanning all this? I won't be scanning every page since a few have duplicates, but all the handwritten stuff will be scanned with a flatbed scanner with printed packets being fed through a high-speed scanner.

I guess I will find out how tough the Office scanner is 🙂

psh, that's what chains and locks are for. or you can always ask them to turn in the keys to their '89 datsun pickup before clocking in then pick it back up when they clock out with everything still there

Oh, and I also have to label each sheet with the date, style, and title.

Then I have to use Acrobat to add a note to each sheet with the same info (don't ask me why)

Then I have to upload them to our server and organize everything back into folder structures

Well unfortunately even though HomeBrewerDude is my boss, drinking is generally frowned upon at the office. Plus... I don't drink.

The scanner is not in my office either 🙁

My office X-LS set just gets to sit by itself in my office while I go down to the room with the scanners.

I do have some music on a flash drive that I bring and use my headphones down there though 😀

The first day of scanning (before I brought the headphones) I almost went crazy from the scanning noise 😉
