I used to work at CVS, in 2 different locations. One in a rich area of town and one in a poorer area with older folks. The rich area had some of the nicest people, there were jerks but not very many. In the poorer area it was alot worse.

Money or no money... be what you are. That said a dick is a dick. As far as kids being brats... thats mainly the parents and entourage. Growing up I had a maid in my house that did everything for me including making my bed (no we weren't rich, it is just more common in Morocco)... one day I raised my voice on her for whatever reason. The next thing I remember was my dads backhand across the face, and was kicked out of the dinner table... slept hungry that night. 15 years later and still remember it like it was yesterday; never done it again. Beat yo kids America ...lol

freaking round tables sucked ... my dad had no problem swinging across the table....lol smackkk!!!!

In my experience wealthy people are far more cordial and respectful than the impoverished.

Especially in traffic. Rich people care about their cars so they'll let others pass, while the poor don't give a #@%%@ and will take no issue in cutting you off.

Be rich.

Is it me or does it seem like the OP is merely bragging rather than having a legitimate issue?

Assholes will be assholes, good people will be good. Surprisingly though, when I went to the Dominican Republic last week, I saw poverty first-hand and the people were very happy. They were content with what they had and very grateful for anything we gave them, whether it was a drink of clean water or a concrete floor. Here people expect you to do stuff for them.

If you think $160K a year will get you into high society, think again.

That is starting, and I don't. My girlfriend will be making $105k in about a year.

$160k + $105k = $265k. Starting. Her earning potential will remain constant. My earning potential, however, is nearly limitless. I can give you the salary table if you want.

I was under the impression that in the legal profession your earnings potential is capped to the number of hours you can work (and subsequently bill). I think law is one of the worst professions in terms of effort input to earnings output. Don't even partners do actual work?

Sure, but associates with the firm work ~2100 hours a year and bill ~1950 hours. Working ~2100 hours a year is better than most engineering and IT jobs.

I don't care what the doubters say, just remember me when you're in high society deciding which IT peons to crush and which to spare. Remember oogabooga=spare :D

I wonder if someone who actually worries if money will change them is likely to see the kind of money it would take to change people. *Shrugs*
