Is Heroes of MM 6 in a playable state (multi)

Had very bad experience with 5, getting weird errors like negative AI score crashing the game after so many turns. Very annoying.

Does anyone know if 6 is playable? I saw there were a ton of posts about issues on other boards when the expansion came out about a year ago.

I never had an issue with MM6 other than the difficulty of keeping up with the Heroes army (you play as the evil side).

Myself and two friends purchased this and was never able to play a multi-player game without getting an "Out Of Sync" message at some point; we gave up and wrote off the $30+ dollars we paid for this.

Usbisoft are not producing anymore patches and don't seem concerned at all for all the end user reports. Their conclusion is that everyone is having network issues and everything is fine at their end.

We went though all the trouble shooting steps and tried pairs of players (all using different gear - ISP/Router/PC etc) to no avail.

I'd be interested from anyone who has managed to actually get multi-player (other than hot-seat) to *work*? Shame as it actually seems like a good game.
