Yeah, he has attempted suicide twice and has never had a girlfriend or any close friends for that matter.

Look, if he is really concerned about his looks, there are some things he could do to improve his looks.

1. His teeth. He could get rid of the yellowness. Get e.g., Zoom whitening (instant teeth bleeching). Even better would be to get some porcelain veneers to change the shape of his teeth (lengthen, straighten them, give them a more appealing shape). He could have a really lovely smile with a bit of good dental work.

2. His skin. He could go to a dermatologist and get rid of the acne and scarring. (Altho I suppose the acne is something that he will eventually grow out of). There are lots of different types of treatments, like laser resurfacing of the skin. Or a chemical facial peel. Etc. Might be an idea to stay away from Roaccutane, tho, as that seems to make some people depressed.

3. It's hard to see his eyes. But it looks like his eyebrows are caterpillars. He could get them trimmed, or reshaped a bit.

4. The hair is pretty awful. Is it dyed? It looks dry, brittle, unhealthy. And the style is kind of "mid 80s music video"... Maybe he should just shave it all off? :)

5. Is he wearing some weird type of cap? What's up with the sun-glasses, and tightly buttoned shirt? I'm not sure his clothes are doing much for him. :)

So utterly true. Tell the dude to get a good job, so he can afford dental work to reshape and whiten his smile, and a good skin treatment. :) I think he has the basic ingredients to become quite reasonable-looking, but he is crying out for an "extreme makeover".

I hope he isn't going to read this thread, and decide to kill himself because people think he is ugly...

Pretty ugly. Not the ugliest person i've ever seen, but some clearasil would do a lot for his looks if you ask me. Also, maybe a new haircut.

Yep. I couldn't figure out what celeb he looked like, but you nailed it.

He looks like Dennis Leary if he lived on a desert island with no toothbrushes or clearisel.

He said he might get plastic surgery when he is older (19-20).

uh how old is he? I thought he looked like in his 30s or 40s. Maybe it's just the picture...

The kid is average, there's nothing wrong with him. Cut all the makeover bullsh1t out of this thread, confidence is king. If I were him I wouldn't be ashamed of sh1t and I find it irritating as hell how we're trying to force men to conform to horrors of "beauty" like woman have succombed to . FVCK ALL THAT. Plastic surgery?! It's not like the kid has a cleft pallet, he sure as hell doesn't need plastic surgery...

The beauty of confidence is that it's all IN your head, not ON it.

He looks to be ~15. He'll grow out of it. It's just the awkward teenager phase that everyone goes through IMO (well, in his case, it's a bit exaggerated, but reagrdless . . ..).

Plastic surgery to correct what? He has no visible irregularities that would benefit from plastic surgery. Perhaps your friend intended to visit a plastic surgeon to have dermabrasion or a laser skin treatment? But he certainly doesn't need to go under the knife.

He does not look in his 30s or 40s. He's a teenager, twenties at latest.

Plastic surgery does seem a bit extreme, at his age.
