So i have a ~200 watt subwoofer w/ its port aimed right at the mobo side of my case. I can feel the case vibrating when sub kicks. Is this worth worrying about?

Possibly so. Is the sub magnetically shielded? if not, I think it could corrupt your HD. but other than that, just rattling your case a bit shouldn't hurt anything

Ive always wondered about this. I would imagine that at a certin point, the vibration would cause hdd damage, how loud that would have to be?????

I dont believe there is any chance of magnet being a issue!

Your flux capacitor may be damaged sending you to 1889

Other than that i think your gonna be cool ^^

check your connections after a few months to check if anything came loose.

Your biggest issue is definitely going to be whether the sub works looks any socketed connections. RAM, CPU, BIOS chip (mebbe)... however there's this ugly thing called a 'cold solder joint' your sub will work one loose over time if you have one. You'll never be able to dagnose it either, there's thousands of solder joints in a PC. The likelyhood of your sub providing enough G shock to damage a harddrive is slim to none. Seagates 7200.10 drives can take a 2msec 68G shock during operation. You could probably kick the thing and not produce that.

Make a hole in the case, where the port aims and keep the sub's port as close as possible. Stick it if you can. You will create quite some air flow inside the case, which should keep things cool.
Nah, I'm just kidding.
Subs should be magnetically shielded, I don't think you'll have a problem with that. But all those vibrations inside the case might damage something over time.
Best placement for a sub is in a corner, with the speaker aiming the wall or floor. The air port should also aim towards a close by wall, 5-10" or so. I guarantee a 200W will shake and rattle the whole room when placed like that.

put your sub on the floor and keep it away from your case. The pounding over time might damage something, especially a HD.
