Is Halo really THAT good?

i have halo, and i must say despite all the criticism...its a great game. sure, its not the best FPS u will ever play, but i give it break. its pretty darn good. about the controller issue, i too had some problems using it at the beginning. but it got better. after oh...an hour or so, i was blasting my way through with no problems controlling at all. it almost became a second nature to me. When you obtain new vehicles (tanks, warthog, etc.) the controls change a little, but by then it would take only a few min. to adjust. As for the best FPS for Pc...i really liked deus ex, its a great combination of FPS and RPG. Half life is cool too, leans over to the multiplayer though

Nah, two of my friends got it, I didn't even play for 30 minutes before I got bored of it. Graphics aren't that great, game play is average. Nothing to keep me glued to the set. Tried Project Gotham too, okay... not one X-Box game has given me the urge at all to buy the X-Box. Disappointment.
