I wear my sunglasses like that when indoors since I don't want it to get scratched up in my pockets or put it on the top of my head since my hair will get the lenses greasy. :(

Yes holy shit she's annoying, I think all the females on Food Network except Paula Dean and Gina Neely are annoying as hell, and even Gina has her annoying moments.
What(Ya'll)? Paula Dean's the worst one of the lot(Ya'll).

Ya'll.

Fascinating how many folks here like Guy Fieri - I can't stand him. So i don't watch him. No problem.

I like Iron Chef America - Chairman is awesome, the interplay between Alton and Kevin Brauch is a hoot and I adore their snobby judges. I also like Chopped and I enjoy the endless reruns, that show holds up well to repeated watching. And I'm addicted to Unwrapped - so cheesy and sometimes there are awesome factory tours.

I try to watch the show because I like watching The Food Network. Ive even tried raising my hand to cover the TV when Guy comes on but its like this:

1) Show Guy ...3 seconds
2) Show guest... 4 seconds
3) Show food....4 seconds
4) Back to Guy, make stupid comment ... 3 seconds
5) Back to food...4 seonds
6) Back to Guy who sticks fingers in the food....3 seconds
7) Annoy the guest .... 20 seconds
8) Repeat

So I have to raise my hand so often its tedious.

You forgot about the part where Guy eats the food then acts like he's having an orgasm because it's sooooooo good.

I believe this is the first time I've wholeheartedly agreed with anything FelixDeKat has posted. OP was a very good rant!

the dude is a Douchenozzle extraordinaire... don't care how much money you have or how successful you are.. still a Douche..

I'm sure the owner of every place he's featured on DDD will whole heartily disagree. Most go on to see a crazy jump in business after he visits.

Ya'll.

She loves butter and Pork, and she doesn't try to make everything healthy like that annoying Rachael Ray bitch. So for that alone I gotta like her.

Y'all just a hater :D

Now that weird Asian dude and all the lame sound effects on Iron Chief America, that shit's annoying to me.

After reading the OP again, Im surprised I went full bore on Guy. I was actually a little embarrased after re-reading it. ;)

damn you guys just hate everything.

Yeah, Guy should do a show where he hates everything or at the minimum acts impartial.

I thought this thread was about the Muppet Show.

I liked the Muppet Show back in the 1970s! Too bad its not on the air anymore. Yet, somehow, Guy Fieri is still hosting DDD.

I have not watched that stupid show in years, but for the sake of this thread I watched as much as I could stand.

He is still wearing those stupid glasses behind his neck, still talking with a scratchy voice, still has the same spiky hairstyle ... and still acts like a muppet. :D

I hated him, but really started enjoying DDD. I still think he is a tool, but oddly entertaining.

i have to agree. every part of me feels like i am supposed to hate him but he becomes oddly endearing. and i'm a big fan of bourdain (can't wait for his marketplace to open up)

Another necro... I'd been meaning to comment on Guy Fieri and saw his name come up in another thread. Found this one by searching...

For me, I can't think of a bigger douchebag candidate than some southern California celebrity TV chef with a bad spiky hair blonde die job, who's vocabulary consists almost exclusively of a dozen over-repeated catch-phrases.

But you know what? I find the personality that he presents to be very likable. Not annoying. I genuinely ENJOY his shows and there's very little, if any, douchebaggery to be found. It's quite a paradox, and I expect almost daily to read a news story about how he beats his children and is doinking their nanny.

I find the Anthony Bourdain vs. Guy Fieri feud interesting, because I enjoy both of their shows. I've always thought Bourdain's show was one of the best travel shows on television. But I have to wonder now - could it be Bourdain who is the real phony?

Yeah, I actually really like Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives. He's a character, but he works in television so he kinda has to be. On a tangent, someone on Reddit photoshopped out his facial hair the other day:

Al Borland?? :D The comments started getting fun:

He actually looks like a pretty normal dude in this photo:

His net worth is $8.5 million dollars. I'd dye my hair for that.

Diners Drive-ins and Dives might otherwise be ok if it were not for that annoying muppet Guy Fieri. First of all what kind of name is Guy? Is that like that other muppet Guy_Smiley? And whats up with always having sunglasses behind his greasy hair placed behind his neck? Of the other 6 billion humans on the planet, he thinks he is the only person that is cool enough to look so ridculous. Then comes the pinkey ring, scratchy voice, stupid comments, camera always 1/1000th of an inch away from his face, etc.

I do not think he is cool, he doesnt remind me of anyone I know, I would not like to friends with him, and his knowledge of food is unimpressive. The Food Network really laid an egg this time.

Because he has money and he can. He part owns about 8 restaurants or so..
