I think one thing those that are pro-gun control miss is that the United States has 50 states that are completely open to each other. So, if there is strong gun control in one state, those that want guns can easily go into another state and buy it. Simple as pie. Therefore, the only people that are hurt by gun control are those who legitimately seek to protect their family and property. Even if all 50 states had strict control, we'd still have Canada and Mexico.

I don't understand how this simple logic can be ignored. Am I wrong? Is it possible to stop guns from flowing between states?

I'm certain that firearms can be every bit as effectively prohibited as narcotics and alcohol.

The answer is no. In America gun control is counter productive at this point. We're a country established by civilians with guns. We've been a gun culture since day one and we still are today. Guns are ingrained in our culture and the best thing we could do is to educate the masses on gun safety. Guns will never disappear from this nation completely, so making them disappear for law abiding citizens would be a huge mistake.

you could do both or niether. the outcome will be the same.

No there would be very different outcomes. A person educated in the matter may choose not to own a gun, putting one into the hand of a person uneducated in firearms is like the exact opposite.

Depends on what you mean by Gun Control. If it's a Ban, then not until there's a major shift of Opinion within the General Population. If less than that, maybe.

No I fully grasp how fucking stupid the US(not to mention the World) population is. Apple being a 50 billion dollar company pretty much solidifies that. Doesn't change the fact that education is the best course of action. Guns are ingrained into American culture and they won't ever be completely removed. It should be rather obvious by now that by limiting or completely banning legal firearm ownership has done more harm than good.

Training dogs is better. You tell the dog to sit and make the gesture, it then doesn't sit you smack it in the nose and tell it to sit again. When it does you reward it.

I am not asking the dog to responsably own a gun. That would be like asking a women to take responsability for a situation.

good luck,.

It's behavioral training, your parents did it to you and if you have kids you've probably done it to them. You know like letting a child touch the hot grill so he'll learn not to put his hands on things that are hot anymore. Shit like that.
