I think either Google is acting up or I have some spyware installed in my computer. I tried to search something on Google, it would reture a link related to my search, but the URL is pointing to a totally website, for example, I am trying to find out what should be the normal high temperature setting for a water baseboard heater boiler, my keywords were water baseboard boiler temperature, and it returned www.siemens.com and a site for ordering spring water, those sites are probably pay-per-click sites, any idea why it is doing it??

anyone else having this problem? I tried all kinds of free spyware removal programs, including the ones from elitekiller.com, and blocked all cookies, my search still got hijacked.

I just copied and pasted "water baseboard boiler temperature" and got mostly forums talking about it and FAQ sites talking about it so I had no issues here.

Wife had a nasty virus on her PC (our only Windows PC) that installed a fake virus scanner, and rerouted every Google search result to the website to buy said scanner. It took several hours and lots of research and tinkering to fully remove it and the hidden parts than kept re-installing it. Good luck.

/me hugs his Ubuntu box, even with all its warts.
