No. He is making money. He is doing what Colbert is afraid to do.

Colbert is afraid to make money?

I was referring to how crazy he talks :) Colbert isn't afraid to get paid :) he just doesn't go off the deep end like this guy.

Also, clever satire trumps blubbering populist corporatism.

That video was great man those people really had no clue what they were doing. I do wonder how many people were talked to and how many were as stupid as those in the video. And yes Glenn Beck is insane

I read he made $24 million last year. Whether people take him seriously or not is immaterial. His story is a success story.

Books on the best seller list, radio show, TV show, cover of Time magazine, etc. He scares the living shit out of the left too. He must because there's a thread or two every week about him.

We're not afraid of him - we're afraid of the morons who take him seriously.
What do you think they're going to do to you?

Pro-create faster than the sane segment of the population.

Yeah, de-evolution is a bitch. But what people like Glen Beck have realized is that as long as you forgo morality you can rule these underlings like a god. They will eat up any nonsense you care to make up.

Beck is crazy like a fox. The people who take him seriously and "thank god" for him are the ones whose sanity is indeed in question.

I suspect most conservatives do with Glenn Beck what most liberals do with Olbermann. Listen to the non-crazy, and tune out the crazy.

Agreed, Beck is crazy like a fox and laughs all the way to the bank. Besides, he is in a race to the bottom with Limbaugh, and number two has to try harder.

There have always been too many lunatic fringe follows of such people on both the right and left, they are the real problems, but as an amateur historian, I cannot recall any time in American history when there have been so large of a percentage of Americans who are simply bat shit ignorant and unthinking enough to fall for that kind of demagogic swill and lack of logic.

Olberman != Beck.

Olberman = O'Reilly.

You need to go super wacky leftist to find someone to equal Beck. But again, it's an act. He used to be a stand up comedia and morning show DJ.

As he himself says "?I say on the air all time, ?if you take what I say as gospel, you?re an idiot.?" Yet legions of fans at 9/12 tea party take what he says as gospel. Hmm.

And don't turn it around and say people who complain about Beck's statements are also taking what he says as gospel. We don't object to what he's saying because it's nonsense, we object because it's dangerous and irresponsible to stir up the hatred he capitalizes on.

A) Colbert's character on his show is not intended to be a parody of Beck
B) Did you watch Colbert's speech to President Bush a few years back? What, exactly, is that man afraid of again?

That's TOTALLY anti-constitutional - never mind unconstitutional. The solution he suggests is exactly what happened in Germany in the 30's...
Wrong again, Barry. That's more like what happened in the Bush administration.

That is complete bull, Olberman is not near the ranks of O'Reilly. Olberman is one of the far left's loons. Sorry, but trying to compare the two deserve a call out.

They also still sell homeopathic medicine at walmart.

Lets not forget Airborne.

Americans are fucking dumb. That is why Beck is on T.V. despite being clearly insane.

In the grand scheme of thing we are back in another McCarthy age, but instead of having just one McCarthy, we have a bunch.
And a dearth of Americans of courage willing to stand up to the idiots and call them for what they are.

Anyone half way conversant with US history knows how the McCarthy age started and finally ended, and during its heyday many fine Americans were besmirched and ruined.

Maybe we are going through another outbreak of similar craziness, ole Dr. Lemon Law is baffled on what the right medicine is, but maybe like the common cold, the best advice is to drink plenty of fluids, take two aspirins, and call your psychiatrist in a few years if it does not get better.

Beck isn't crazy, he is just putting on a show. He does get stuff done with his show, and I never found any of his information to be false which I can't say about most of the politicians he mocks.

Yes, he's insane. Severely bi-polar. But that can be managed. What can't be manages is the total lack of character, ethics and integrity. For a fat paycheck. That's called being a sociopath.
