Is GameCube the worst-looking console ever? (poll)

Does anyone agree with me that the GameCube is the single worst-looking console ever. Looks list like those lunchboxes that little girls take to school. It looks so.. for the lack of having a better word.. gay. Am i right?

I can't get it through my head. How could that design be approved? I mean, i'm sure that it had to go through 100 people before being approved for the final product. And no one there noticed?

I didn't say I didn't agree. I was just pointing out that everybody else that uses that word gets banned inside a few minutes of the post. As usual, the mods are being inconsistent (or are just not paying attention).

At any rate, it's not that bad. Not like I'll ever buy one. But a handle is a good idea, and they had to put it somewhere. The color is putrid, but it's Nintendo, I associate them with pastels. (And if it's not pastel, remember I'm colorblind.)

It's also in Black and people at the Walmart by my house dont seem to have a problem with the cube shape. All 60 were gone by the time I got there and some of those people looked kinda scary like they had been there for a WHILE. I think the PS2 is the best looking out of the 3 newest consoles, XboX is kinda ugly to me. But WHO CARES!!! Like the dude said it's what's INSIDE THAT COUNTS!!!

I think it's great. I guess if you are a homophobe and need to prove you are a man the gigantic Xbox is more your style. I love seeing low form-factor devices.

I've never seen an Xbox up close, but from the pics I've seen, I think it looks pretty cool. The PS2 still wins the outward appearance contest, but take the covers off, and suddenly the Xbox looks a whole lot cooler!

I think the black ones look better.

Still with the black controller you have the red, green, blue and yellow buttons and sticks just standing out. I think it's primary appeal is to also attract younger gamers and it helps to identify the buttons more easily in my opinion.

The playstation controller may have their Xs and Os but when I played it, it is hard to identify at first. Right off the hand, I can identify the buttons on Nintendo's controller when I first play a game and there is an in game tutorial.

Design wise, it is alright and comfortable. Feels like a playstation controller but a bit bigger.

So, it is that way for a reason in my opinion.

Maybe that is the age of the poster. 4th graders are allowed here you know.

I approve of the GameCube's appearance. It very small and portable, distinctive without going crazy, convenient, FOUR front controller ports (a SMACK at the PS2). Actually, it reminds me a little of my Dreamcast. The black and silver combo is very nice and modern. And since this is a GAMING console, not some "whole house entertainment system", the somewhat cartoon/toyish look is entirely appropriate.
