Can I ask why you would get that card over a pair of GTX 560s in SLI?

Cause i'm going to buy two of them

Asus GTX 580 DirectCU II won't be out till March which is why i'm considering alternatives

well Kyle stands up for them. And there is a rep over at hardforum that posts a lot. Seems good to me.

The price is definitely right for these with the Xtreme Cooler.

Galaxy is great. One of the few companies that gives you a 1-800 number for tech support and RMAs - you actually get to talk to someone who speaks good English.
;)

i reviewed the Galaxy GTX 480 SOC with the ArcticCooling VGA cooler. It was awesome compared to the reference version. However, it is a 3-slot solution and may not work in all motherboards in SLI although i was able to pair it with a reference GTX 480. Mine also overclocked well and matched my GTX 580's overclock

Can you confirm that's a Arctic Cooling Acceler Xtreme Cooler on the GTX 580?

Not absolutely. However, Galaxy uses Arctic Cooling AcceleroXtremes on their GTX 480 and it sure looks the same in the picture.

These cards would be good bang for buck, do it yourself overclocking

i met with the Galaxy reps at CES in a private meeting; expect breakout HDMI wireless boxes .. SSDs .. and likely

GTX 580 SOC (SuperOverclock) with the AC cooler
:awe:

Thanks poppin. I hate the Blue pcb but aslong as it has voltage control i'm still very interested in it.

Have a Galaxy 470 haven't had any problems and my rebate was approved almost immediately not that that matters for you. There was a Galaxy rep floatin around here on the forums during the single slot card thread.

I don't think an 850W is going to cut it when it comes to overclocked 580's. AX1200?

Are there any really good 1200W PSU's out there that are not 300 dollars?

Hmm.. For less money i could always go 3 way 6950 2GB's and unlock them.
