Sounds like you haven't even installed the panel that displays the music library. Not foobar's fault... it's yours.</end quote></div>

How is it not foobar's fault if it doesn't come with a music libaray panel by default? (Note: I haven't used foobar so maybe I'm missing something.)

It's really neither one's fault.
I use Foobar simply BECAUSE it doesn't come with a load of junk like that.
If it came with a jukebox/library/whatever crap, I most likely wouldn't use it.

You want that stuff, so in your case, the default install is not for you, though with an addon or two, it might be :)

In terms of audio quality, Winamp and foobar2000 are the best for Windows, since they support ASIO and/or Kernel Streaming output (bypassing Microsoft's Kmixer resampler).

Last I heard, iTunes doesn't support ASIO or Kernel Streaming output, which means the audio has to go through Kmixer.

Noob audio question but...what is ASIO or Kernal Streaming? And why are they better than Kmixer?

You can use the Multi-Plugin for iTunes to utilize foobar's kernel streaming capabilities.

Foobar works like a charm and doesn't eat all of your RAM like iTunes.

Seriously, I've had several family members that aren't good with computers tell me that iTunes seriously slowed down their computers.

Of course, most of us probably have 2GB of RAM anyway, but still...

I switched from Winamp to Foobar because Foobar is UTF. And I don't like Winamp 5, it's too bloated. I only used Winamp 2.81. 2.9 changed the classic skin to be uglier.
