My main complaint is foobar's (lack of) music library... I use foobar when I'm playing games and want something lightweight with little impact on performance. When just using Windows, I use iTunes because I can navigate my music a whole lot easier.
A lot of people like WMP11, but its iTunes for me.</end quote></div>
that's because you haven't customized it to your liking. foobar is better than itunes after a few simple modifications.
search up Columns UI on google download and try the plugin there are other plugins like this but i figured you liked the itunes feel.
I searched for a long time for customizations for foobar to make it better, and Columns UI was the best I found. I have it installed currently, and honestly, it should come standard. I can't stand foobar without it.

Sounds like you haven't even installed the panel that displays the music library. Not foobar's fault... it's yours.
No, I definitely have. You misunderstand -- I didn't mean that foobar doesn't have a music library, its just that compared to Itunes, it sucks royally.
The default music library in Foobar is abysmal, but the Columns UI plug-in makes it a lot better. Itunes is just a lot easier to navigate, you can narrow down the list by Genres, Artists, Albums. The instant search feature is excellent. Overall, it's just a more pleasant experience.

Don't get me wrong, I like foobar and use it. I love the fact that you can setup keyboard shortcuts for almost anything, so its perfect for playing music in the background while gaming. But, it just lacks in some areas...
Foobar:
+ Lightweight, fast
+ Keyboard shortcuts
+ Lots of control, customization
Itunes:
+ Fantastic music library
+ Organizes your music files & directories
+ Instant search feature that updates Genre, Album and Artist list
+ Play counts, ratings, etc. that can be used by Smart Playlists
