GWPC has Honda, Toyota, BMW, Renault and DaimlerChrysler (Mercedes Benz)

F1 has Ferrari

Are all F1 races just gonna be two cars now ? .... Schumacher vs. Barrichello
Sounds exiting ....

Yeah, that's very true. The sport should focus more on the ability of the drivers and not the amount of money spent on the car. I miss the days of Senna :(

toyota's budget is as big if not bigger than Ferraris.

the reason for the split is the teams are not happy with the way money is being divided in F1 (the banks who own the rights vs the teams). Ferrari was part of the GPWC but recently signed on with the new concorde agreement. That's what the other teams get for trying to make Ferrari look bad when they wanted to limit testing. ha. proves that F1 or whatever premier european open-wheel series is nothing without Ferrari.

EDIT: And just to clarify Honda and Toyota are not officially with the GPWC, they only agree with it. I see the GPWC as nothing more than a negotiation tactic and when they lost Ferrari they just lost a big part of it.

Miss the days of Senna? He left McLaren for Williams because it was no longer the superior car. I'm not saying he's not talented, which he definitely showed he was in 1993. By your logic, are you saying that anyone can win in the Ferrari?

I disagree.

It should always be improving. These silly regulations just restricts innovation. I do agree there should be several safety regulations, and as long as those safety regulations are met, the cars should be built to be as fast as they can go. Let the manufacturers develop the best car possible, and put it up to the drivers win.

I agree, some of the best ideas for road going performance cars have come from F1 innovations.

Nobody can beat Ferrari. Bore-mula 1 is all about watching the Ferraris dominate, because they spend more money than anyone else.

Until they do something like this to try and even things up, it will continue to be that way.

Ferrari was spending more money than anyone else in the 80s and 90s and that didn't get them jack sh*t. Their budget isnt exactly that much bigger than Williams AND BMW or McLaren AND Mercedes.

The fact that no one else can compete is McLaren, Williams, and Renault's fault. Hell those 3 even got beaten by BAR last year.

EDIT: This "GPWC" doesn't have anything to do with how entertaining F1 is, its about who gets most of the revenue of F1, the banks and bernie or the teams. Ferrari was initially part of the GPWC so it wasn't about their domination of F1 in the recent years.
