what is your experience like? I had firefox 1.5 and it just had problems with some sites like myspace that had flash/embedded music/video sites.. is that fixed in firefox 2?

I have to admit that IE7 is pretty nice.

I've just been using Firefor for so long that I'm just use to it.
FF 2.0 is even better then 1.5 so I'll continue to use it (I guess I'm loyal)

I like the FF extensions and the built in dictionary and the other free extensions that it has.

IE7 doesnt work properly on my PC... I have to use beta 2 to use it. So I keep FF, or if Opera has some features that I'd like in the future.

Simply put....YES, Firefox 2 is better than IE7.

For several technical reasons but...

Most people (including myself) just like the way it works and also the fact that it is not as bulky as IE (sorry Microsoft).

Not only is FireFox2 standalone arguably better than IE7, with add-ons there is no question. Personalize with themes and add incredible depth of functionality with extensions. IE7 is a HUGE leap from IE6, but FF will always have that one step ahead advantage due to its 3rd party development.

IE (especially 7) is about as lightweight as they come.

I think we all use Firefox because when we see Microsoft and IE we're all like "eww, it's Microsoft" ;)

I have been using Firefox since 1.0 was released and I'll never go back to Safari or Internet Explorer.

I couldn't stand IE7 when I used it awhile ago. FF2.0 has been working great.

another vote for the browser with extensions or add-ons as they're called now.

A head-to-head review in PC World gives the nod to FF 2 as still the winner.

ie7 is a nice improvement over all the previous versions and a (rare?) sign that the MS developers really listened to what ppl wanted. i have nothing against MS or iexplorer and overall it's a very decent browser.

having said that, IMO, firefox 2.0 is still better. without plugins, the only real diff between the two is that i find firefox easier to customize just the way i like it (toolbars, options, etc). but even more important is the huge number of awesome firefox plugins - many of them are easy to install (one click), easy to run and very useful... i've got adblock, accuweather, status bar download, ftp plugin and a few others and couldn't be happier...

I won't say IE7 is better than Firefox, but there are just certain things that Firefox can't do that IE7 does ( or at least I haven't been able to get to work). Until I can get it to become fully functional for work purpose it'll be just a hair behind IE.

I still have problems w/ FF w/ embedded files, memory leaks when playing online games @ games.yahoo.com, and ytmnd.

IE7 still uses less memory, has a superior interface. The recent release of IE7 has problems of loading off the bat. Never had that problem w/ RC1. I probably just have to reinstall it.
