I have experience with the FIC mb, along with the Epox and Abit KT7. Out of the three of them, the FIC is my last choice. It was first out of the starting gate and is a solid board. However, the bios already has a pretty important update. It is also the least upgradable and has the fewest options. FIC has announced a new version of the same board with more features, so this one is on its way out.
The EPox is just like the MVP3G2 and G5, a workhorse. I have it in 2 computers right now and they are both stable and happy. It also has that old ISA slot in case you have something for it. It is only a little bit more expensive than the FIC. Epox also has a new version of their board about to come out.
The king is the KT7. I have the raid version and will be buying this board exclusively for any new systems I build. Stable, fast, very upgradable and very overclockable. It has the most slots and with the raid function you can have 8 devices, assuming you choose not to use the raid.
Cancel your FIC I think, open up the wallet and got for a little extra, you will not be unhappy.
