Far Cry is a truly awesome game in single player mode. From what I hear, multiplayer isn't as good. $20 would be a good price in the states, in Canada it's even better. You only switch the discs one time - when installing. GTA: San Andreas was awesome.

And i am from Canada so that $20 is Canadian.

I have read some good reviews but some say the game sucks, has anyone else played FAR CRY?

I am planing to get GTA vice and San An... after the price goes down a bit.

Any other games you guys would recommend, i love DIABLO2 that game is wicked still is even till this day, well for me at least.

Also i have an xbox any games that you would recommend for that, i like fighting, racing,..

Which would you say is better :

Burnout 3: Takedown (XBOX) (Yes i know that Burnout Revenge is the latest from the burnout series)

Those who say "Far Cry sucks" don't know what they are talking about :) Far Cry is one of the best FPS games ever made. The replay value is also great. You actually want to play it through many times. I'm currently finishing my 3rd play-through.

Well thats great, thats one game to get.

Any other games that you would recommend, also when you guys said that FAR CRY is great were you talking about the PC ver.

2. Looks good

3. Five disks? Farcry only comes in DVD format which is 1 disc.

4. Quake 4 - Worth the money, not fantastic though.
Call of Duty 2
FEAR - Needs a decent system though.

3. The world extends outside that little island you call home, Tea-And-Crumpets-Boy - and the rest of it got the 5-CD version

I recommend the CD version though, as the DVD version reportedly has problems (None that you cant fix of course) its just easier to go CD IMO.

as much as i've come to love quicksaving/loading, it's made games way too easy.

I can pretty much save-crawl through any game now. no more challenge :(

Aint that the truth, I also agree that the people that say FarCry sucks just dont know facts...FarCry is a great game I started my third replay two days ago and I am loving it. so now go, buy the game and then you can post about how great it is just as the rest of us has in the past and some day there will be another thread just like this on and you can be one of the people stating the greatness of this game....Enjoy

it is in the top 10 I would take with me to life in prison or a deserted island

No but it fixes a lot of bugs if you use it through the console. Just bind the functions to keys and it works pretty well.

Farcry at 1600x1200, everything Very High, and HDR turned on looks reaaaal nice :) I liked HL2, FEAR, and Farcry.

Far Cry is an excellent game. Another that I've played recently that I thought was really good is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Awesome if you like good FPS melee action. The story is great as well.

QFT

only used quicksave in the end as it was a pita.

The best fps in long time IMHO.

Depends on which resolution you're going to run it at but you will be able to run it with everything maxed up to pretty high resolutions, so it will be fine.

None of the games are anything like diablo2.

'biostud' are you sure that i will be able to play all thouse game on max settings with 6800GS.

I'll mostlly play with 1024 x 768, with this setting could i max everything out.
