<-- don't have the need to lie & haven't have a timeout (vacation) or banned.

However many people have he need to exaggerates & irks others therefore AT implemented the useless member registration to post as a troll preventative method. And, members from 97/98 can tell you that registration (baby sitting service), post count stats, and elitist titles are not doing anything to improve the quality of AT forums.

ok. 😕

I'm not that cynical. I think some people lie on here, sometimes everything they say is bullsh1t, but most posters are honest. The liars are usually easy to spot. My spouse, on the other hand, thinks everyone on here lies. He said that in response when I told him about a really sad story on here a few days ago (one that I believe to be true.)

You've only been registered for 4 months on that account, yet you act like you've been around since the very beginning of the AT Forums.

Stumps and his daughter. 🙁

I think the reason my spouse (Fermilevel) won't post here anymore is primarily the one outlined in the OP. There are other reasons, but that's the main reason. He lurks here a lot, though.

LOL I was around when Anand was still wet around the ears with computing. I was among the few that helped answers Anand with OCing processes during the Brother Hood of The CPU & Tweakit.com era.

Many people automatically assumed that newbies don?t know what they are talking about due to registration & post counts tracking, titles, and date joined. That why, I?m & other regular oldies register new account & username to keep things balance.

Never underestimate a newbie.

that's all well and fine, but some who register new usernames get banned because of it.

Change ISP is one way to get around it and never reuse the old account.

PCResources and NicklasReugen. Same person, claimed all sorts of amazing things about himself (PCResources), how he was Swedish Special Forces or some crap like that, on loan to the U.S., then posted a thread about how he got killed in Afghanistan. Ownage followed shortly thereafter.
