Is Enlight PSUs as good as Enermax or Antec?

Is Enlight 420W dual fans as good as the Enermax and Antec?
Anyone who has this Enlight 420W PSU? Do you know it comes with two 8cm fans or one 8cm and one 9cm?
Between the Enermax and the Antec Tru Power PSUs, which one is better?

i would say that the antec true power psu is better

I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. I have a 300W Enlight in my Enlight 7237 case and it has a single fan, not sure if its 80mm or 92mm though. Its running an ECS K7S5A system, which is notoriously picky about its PSUs. And the system is running an overclocked Thunderbird 1.4GHz, a notoriously hot Athlon CPU, at 1.5GHz. So I guess that says a lot about the PSU.

Yah Enlight makes decent PSUs, but I'm a huge Antec fan. I had some problems with ACPI and low rail readings on a 300W Enlight; switched to a 400W Antec and everything's been great since. Best thing about it is that it supplies near perfect voltage to the 3V and 5V rails...

I'm not sure that the Enlights are the equal of high end units, but they're definitely not trash, either. Considering that the likelihood of having a sustained load greater than 200w is near nil, it should do anything asked of it with ease....

I've used Enermaxes for years, and still like 'em. The Tru-Antecs have developed quite a following, though, apparently they're even quieter and have more features like the variable voltage temp controlled fan outputs. Guess maybe I'll try one soon. The older Antecs were good quality, I doubt they'd sell a funky line of anything....

Enlights are as good as Enermax at least...Antec maybe. However, Antec True Power...nope.
IIRC it comes with 1 80mm fan on the back and a 90mm fan on the bottom. That may not be entirely accurate, but do know they come with 2 fans in 'em

I cannot afford the Tru Antec. But thinking hard about it. The Enlight is cheaper but probably go with the Directron one. It's a little cheaper for the 500W one.

According to Newegg pics, it is the same exact model as this one for $165. The info is from high power. This thing is a good PSU as the Enermax.

So what are you intending to do that needs one of these monster psu's? Dual proc Athlon? Multiple disk SCSI Raid array? if not, better to buy a higher quality psu of lower claimed wattage, it's likely to be more reliable in the performance dept. Newegg has Heroichi and Sparkle 350w units at very reasonable prices, both are excellent conservatively rated pieces of equipment. Not the quietest or the flashiest, definitely very solid performers......

I am going to add 4 more drives to my computer soon so I got to buy the new PSU. However, I am coming back home in a few days so I got a little time before having to buy it.
Waiting for the sale.

I always wondered what the "HPC" was in the model numbers . I have yet to see a machine w/ one have any PSU troubles at all, and have messed with quite a few (they are suprisingly common in OEM machines that use standard PSUs), and they are cheap to boot. On the other hand, I do have a deer, and I wouldn't dare use it in anything, as it barely weighs 1 pound!

Edit: just checking High Power's site...the HPC-300-101 (standard Enlight 300w model) is going at $52 from them!!! When I replaced mine (had trouble w/ a Sparkle so gave a customer my PSU and ate the cost instead of doing the whole RMA mess) it was $34 with shipping (Newegg, of course).

Side note: having opened my PSU up (the whole controlled fan speed thing really is there, they just use loud fans ), the switch contacts are there, but for some reason, Enlight doesn't like using a switch. Just an odd tidbit.
