Is DVI Hot Pluggable?

I've hot plugged it many times and have never experienced a dead video card or monitor. I may be wrong though.

AFAIK, it's not "really" hot-pluggable, but you are VERY unlikely to actually damage anything. Worst-case is probably that the monitor won't work unless it is plugged in when the system is booted.

I've never had an actual digital panel top plug and unplug.. But I"ve hot plugged a normal monitor into a DVI port via VGA -> DVI adapter many times with no wierdness.

I've hot-plugged VGA many many times, never had an issue. DVI I thought was the same way. Hehe the only things I've not hotplugged on the comp is the power cord 😛

If it wasn't, I would have a lot of dead video cards and monitors. But alas, I don't. 🙂

I think you're not supposed to hot-plug parallel cables either but I've never had a problem hot-plugging anything.
