the water is treated with chlorine..the filters remove the metals and minerals to an extent...drinking unfiltered water is fine unless you live in Mexico

Drinking filtered water is actually worse for you. You don't get the necessary minerals and salts/ions needed.
I think foods will contain what is needed, that's a null point, IMO.

Well people seem to panic when anyting -ium is in their water. Calcium, magnesium, sodium.

These ions are necessary for living and you may not get everything you need through food.

There are supplements and also many waters have the electrolytes and minerals added back in.

Not all tap water has the right amounts either since it is filtered as well.

Tap water has stricter standards than bottled water. It also has fluoride.

do you know when flouridation first started, mandrake? 1946. how's that for your post-war communist expansion conspiracies?

That's why I only drink rain water and pure grain alcohol.

Dr. Strangelove, right??

We cannot allow a mineshaft gap!

What a shame that because it's a B+W film a lot of younger folks will miss the complete brilliance
of "DR Strangelove"....so sad..

I dont know, but apperantly it's quite a few. the bulk beef thread has over 1200+ replies and they still haven't resolved that 10 lbs. is not bulk.

tap water wont hurt you. however, Tuscaloosa (where i live) has a lot of lime so our water is a bit hard and has a taste you have to get used to. A normal in-sink water filter or brita pitcher solves this problem though. Also, places around lakes, that use the lake for water source, have nasty ass tasting water. you can taste/smell the fishy scent (at least my dad & i can). i cant even use my grandparents ice because it is so gross. but it has never hurt me and prolly never will, i just cant stand the taste.

Everyone who has ever had unfiltered water has died or will die. I'd be careful.

I would actually be quite alarmed if there was pure sodium in my water. :D

It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

Don't worry, it wouldn't be there for long.

(Neither would you...) :p

I usually buy 1 bottled water a day from the vending machine at work, then refill it during the day at the drinking fountain. I've always drank tap water, and AFAIK, I'm healthy.
