Is doing an oil change yourself even worth it anymore

well....every place I have lived said no car maintanace on the premise...so I usually just bring it to those lube places. For my current car, I just bring it to the dealership. The only complaint about having someone doing my car maintanance was when I got my brakes and boots changed at ntb. I changed the air filter a day before and they had the nerve to tell me that I needed a new filter. I told them no thank you. I was gonna piss and moan aand explode on them, but where else could I get my boots replaced along with all 2 brakes for $170 (coupons ftw!)?

CV boots? Or do you mean brake shoes?

BTW you have 4 brakes;)
