Is digital camera USB cable interchangeable?

In my personal experience, they are not. My Fuji Finepix 1400's USB cable does not work on my wife's Kodak DX3700. The USB end which plugs into your PC are identical but the square end of my Fuji doesn't fit the Kodak.

it depends. I also have an Olympus 2040 digital camera. I bought the USB cable from this E Bay seller. and according to him it'll work with Kodak, Epson, Minolta and Sony digital camera.

there are various cables used by camera makers. there is now a current mini-usb connector spec though.

www.pccable.com has cabling for many cameras under their usb section.

the cable that paldo linked is not the current mini-usb connector spec. that cable is a cable some used and the camera end is just a small usb A connector.
