Is Chivalry Dead?

In your opinion, is chivalry dead? Give your definition of chivalry while you're at it. Mine is the courtly ideas of love (really everything feminism attacks)

I voted it is not dead, but it is on life support. Feminism has made it very confusing to be a man. I'm still not sure what to do in a social situation with women, and even more confused in a business environment. Do I open the door for the woman and let her go first because she is a woman, or do I treat her like I treat my male counterparts, ie sometimes I hold a door for them and sometimes they hold a door for me.

I wouldn't say it's dead, per se...

However I will say that it's getting mighty hard to find a woman who actually deserves it.

i would have to some what agree

yes it is.
Feminatzi's have killed it. They want womens rights, and all that crap yet they will still bitch when a guy doesn't open a door for them. :|
I am not saying women should go back to the kitchen everyday with her pearls and apron, but there is a happy medium as well.

it is too bad. Chivalry was a wonderful thing.
PS, i am sure it is still out there, just in smaller quantities.

Your asking a forum of geeks if Chivaliry is dead? That is like asking a fat person if being fat is attractive...the majority will say yes because they need it to be.

Well I still open doors for everyone, lead the girl down the stairs, follow the girl up, and stand on the street side, etc. But all that is bs.

feminism has made it possible for you to post that comment. <3

I generally act chivalus (wow, spelled that wrong), but it can also depend on the woman. One of the most annoying things about my mother is that she *expects* a man to open a door for her. She will stop and stand there like an idiot until someone opens it for her. Therefore, I do not *ever* open a door for her. I simply will not do it for a woman that is 1) a total bitch or 2) expect it.

I am chivalrious but no one gives a damn

Today wasa short day

-helped two women get hteir cars out of the snow
-held the door a few times
