Is chewing too much sugarless gum bad for you?

I chew a lot of gum, easily 2-3 sticks a day on an average day. Multiply that out and it adds up to a lot of gum for the average person.

Now, I'm always chewing sugarless, but I have to think that even that can't be that great for you given that there's some weird chemical in there giving it its taste

thoughts?

Well my dad used to smoke and a doc told him to chew gum instead of smoking when the urge came.

Then he went to his dentist and his dentist said he was going to have to start smoking again because he was destroying his teeth chewing so much gum.

So he stopped chewing gum and hasn't smoked since 😛

Chew gum with xylitol in it.

The only issue I see with chewing gum all day is it could lead to some TMJ issues.

was any of that english?

Xylitol is a five-carbon sugar alcohol that is used as a sugar substitute.

TMJ happens when you grind your jaw bone down from chewing too much gum or grinding your teeth.

My dentist hates gum.

The first time I heard a chick say TMJ I thought it was a new way of giving a blowjob I never heard of.

I laughed out loud at this one. And the dog walked into my room right as I laughed and she barked, so I think she found it funny too.
