<< While many "yuppies" buy BMWs, they are also usually the cars of choice for those like me who "live for the drive." They are simply just fun to drive! Get behind the wheel of one, and you'll understand. >>

Yeah, but can SAFE DRIVING and FUN DRIVING be used in the same sentance other then opposites when applying to the road?

I can see it on a 4x4 trail or on a race track, but going down I-25 in traffic means you have to be weaving to be doing anything other then sitting behind the next guy going 20mph. Weaving = Wreckless

A car could never own me, doesn't have enough uses. When you have a use for a vehicle, you OWNZ a truck :)

PlatinumGold: There have been significant reliability issues with Ford vehicles my family has owned, so I choose not to ever own one. So yes, I hate Ford vehicles. I feel that people who drive them MUST know about the reliability issues and rust problems, and the fact that they STILL buy Fords makes me question their intelligence.

Besides that fact, I still believe more Ford vehicles than other makes are involved in careless acts on the road. Careless drivers fall into the SUV category while the types that cut you off drive the yuppie machines. But when it comes to just plain bad driving, like pulling out in front of traffic and NOT speeding up to apologize for the act, Ford drivers take the cake.

Amish: And just what makes a Probe GT better than a plain Probe? A cheesy spoiler, some plastic skirting, and a decal? <ducks>

Mine doesn't have a spoiler.

Try 16" wheels, 2.5L v6 24-valve engine.

There is NO correlation between brand of car and idiot drivers. I live in Ohio and drive 25+ miles to work everyday and it never ceases to amaze me the stupidity on the road. Yesterday, there was a 90-something Geo rustbucket with the donut spare on driving in the shoulder on a jammed highway. Of course he immediately cut over (w/o turn signal) when he felt it was not necessary to go any further in the shoulder. All the way up to BMW yuppies who feel that because they own an expensive car, the speed limit does not apply to them.
I do tend to notice though that those riceboy piece's of crap feel like they own the road with their ridiculous wings, racing stripes, tires with less rubber between them and the road than a condom (What the hell are those tires for anyway?). I did not think it was possible to make some of those cars look worse.
There's a guy in my apartment complex with a blue Honda Civic with a double wing on the back, the body kit, etc. Well, every 50 feet or so, there's a set of speedbumps. Now, I'm not sure what possesses him to do this but, he'll speed up as fast as he can in that 50 feet, slam on the brakes, drive gingerly over the speedbump so as to not hurt his precious body kit, and then slam the accelartor as soon as he's clear only to repeat the process again. Is there a point to this? Maybe somebody here can tell me. Any riceboys in here?

I haven't really noticed a correlation between car type and bad driving. I've seen horrific drivers of all types of vehicles, including semis and minivans. I will say though that bad drivers driving huge ass vehicles are more dangerous than the average car.
