I'm just wondering since in the last week, about 5 Canadians have bought things from me on Ebay despite my large, in bold text (which is in the first paragraph of the auction, in plain view) statement proclaiming that I only ship within the United States
If I put on the customs forms that the items are worth $5000 each, will their customs officials charge them an outrageous fee, or do they research the item cost themselves, too?
It's idiots like you that make buying stuff on ebay hard. What the hell is the big deal about shipping to Canada. If they want your item let them pay the fvcking fee instead of being a complete ass about it.

Whats wrong with selling to Candians? I mean, as long as they pay the extra shipping... is it a big deal? They bid on your stuff and raised the price.
I sell a large amount of stuff. I don't want to sit there and fill out a stupid customs form just for one package. Also, Canadians tend to ask you to lie about the price of the item on the forms (they are very sneaky). Also, USPS offers free boxes for Priority Mail. I don't want to buy or find a box for one item. Also, they never offer to pay more for shipping... they act as if it's completely normal. They get very uppity (in my experience) if I ask them to pay more for shipping so I can send it be a more secure method.

Don't forget there are uber no0bs in Canada when it comes to teh intarweb. They have no clue that they have to pay customs, so when the item arrives, they don't want to pay for it, because it's too expensive, and then they call you and complain about you not telling them about custom charges. Fcuking canucks.

I think it's just the stupidity of these people who bid. I've had way too many eBay auctions won by idiots who didn't read but this can go in your favor too. I once sold a broken motherboard and I put it everywhere in the description (in hopes of someone who can fix it and use it). Bunch of people bid and I got a really good price for it.
Take advantage of stupidity instead of complaining about it.![]()

CanOWOrms, Canadians are taking advantage of a strong currency these days, and it's very likely this will be going on for a while....

Respectfully, I dont ship to Canada anymore because of this type of attitude. You can have it, and thats ok. I dont have to ship to Canada and that OK too. When I go out of my way to make it clear that I dont ship to Canada, like clockwork I get multiple emails demanding I explain myself.
Who needs it, customs hassles, the Canadian post sucking huge rocks and losing packages (funny how the only packaes Ive ever had "lost" in the mail were the ones I shipped to Cananda) Nothing against Canadains in general (except the French of course) But I dont ship to Canada. Naw, Im just kidding, I luv them cute fuzzy Canadians (Except the French of course)![]()
