yes, it has single player. I thought it was pretty good. Although I would say online is better.

Agreed. I just finished the expansion, United Offensive, and all I can say is HOLY ******!! Those missions were insane, and props for the graphics and gameplay. I have NEVER seen so many enemies on screen at the same time before. The last mission was very tough, but worth every second. There is so much action going on, it's confusing in a very realistic way.

agreed. too linear too. not as linear as games like Doom3, but still, if I want to flank someone a different way, I don't want walls upon locked doors upon gates blocking every other area except the one they script you for. emmersion made up for this however.:thumbsup:

Yeah, much better than doom 3 or even hl2, but not as good as far cry.

single player is the only redeeming feature of the game. the multiplayer is terrible.

The sound is what really pulled me in. For the first time, having surround sound for a game made such a dramatic difference for me. I could barely keep my composure during the start of the Russian campaign.

You and me, both. Great single player. I'm very picky about my single player games (read: I don't finish a lot of games because I lose interest) but I completely finished playing the single player game before I even touched multiplayer. Normally I dive right into the multiplayer

Call of Duty was a great ww2 shooter. Scripting did limit the gameplay options though which was a tad annoying but it was very good and I will be getting COD2 when it comes out.

COD2 soon!

Have you played the demo? It's sitting on my drive now but I haven't had time....

Make time!

Is it that good?

It's pretty good, yes. The graphics are a little more demanding than COD1, but this is a demo, so no one realy knows what the final product will be like. The demo is short, but I played through it a couple of times.

Whoever said the COD multiplayer sucked probably plays DoD. ;) CoD multiplayer is the best WW2 multiplayer out there. Even today.

The COD2 demo is pretty sweet. I'm with those who don't particularly love the scripted, well, everything, but the sounds and immersion factor blew me away. Gonna play the original over again in preparation for the release :)

You probably need to update your game with the new patch.

Video Linkage

Here is a SP gameplay video from COD:UO. The skill of the player is not very good , it's on easy, and I turned the resolution down just a bit to record. But it's a good idea of what the gameplay and graphics look like.

I'm a big fan of CoD - but I'm always looking for more... if you think CoD MP is terrible, what rates in your opinion?
