Is calamity Jane on Deadwood the most annoying character ever?

So I've been plowing through season 1 of Deadwood...and I have got to say that the way the character Jane is written is probably the most annoying character I've ever seen on a television show. I've found myself actually skipping over scenes with her in them...ugh...other than that...great show!

She grows on you. What about the newspaper guy and the owner of the inn? Aka ferris bueller's principle and larry who has two brothers name darryl.

i like all the characters on that show

I like her. She is a rough and tumble tom boy trying to make it in the world the same way that a man would without a chance of getting respect from anyone. The combination of filthy language, hard drinking and feminine sensibilities is comedic.

I have never seen that show, but just seeing ALL those commercials on TNT made me hate her guts...

Kyra sedgwick definitely lays it on thick in the closer. If she toned it down a bit I would really like the show, as it is now it is merely adequate as summertime tv fluff.

But, she is still somewhat attractive. Or at least was super sexy in the woodsman.
