Is C566 to 100FSB jump guaranteed?

My slot 1 BX board supports upto 950Mhz processor and auto detects voltage
and FSB. It also sets FSB for the detected processor ie 66MHz for Celeron,
100 for PII or PIII..
If I use a slotket to set the FSB to be detected as 100, is a Celeron 566
(8.5x100=850) the best chip to use and what stepping should I get to
guarantee success for this jump ? I can't set any other FSB speeds :-(.

The jump to the 100fsb is pretty much gauranteed if you have core voltage settings. It probably won't make it without a boost in core voltage from the default 1.5v. Any Celery 566 should work, maybe you can find a slocket that offers core voltage adjustment since your mobo doesn't.

thanks. That gives me the confidence to go ahead.
And yes, I will get a slotket with both FSB and voltage adjustment
