Is BMG and columbiahouse.com are good deals

Columbia House has an excellent deal going on DVD's. Go to www.dvdtalk.com's deals forums for info. Call Columbia House's 800 # and give them code HMA, you get 5 dvd's for around $19 or so depending on your taxes, no shipping. Then you just have to buy 2 more for $19.95 a piece or more in 2 years. Most people have 2 memberships going at a time, as soon as they get their 5 initial dvd's, they order their 2 fulfillment titles and cancel in the same phone call. You don't even have to send in your reply card if you do it that way. I highly recommend everyone check this one out, been going for several months.

I did the BMG deal several times a little over a year ago. It was a pretty good deal when I did it and (assuming they haven't changed it around since then) it works out to be about $5 or $6 per CD after shipping.
An even better BMG deal involved referring your friends once you were a member:

I forgot to mention, by the time you are done with the dvd club, you end up with 7 dvd's for less than $70, I think my total was around $69. It is less for some people since you do pay sales tax.
