oooops, it must be broken on my pc

For those that think it has to be local, think again. I don't bother with keystroke logging or anything silly like that, but if you are accessing the network, then who you are, what you connected to (internal or internet) and what you accessed or viewed is logged.

As someone else said earlier... it's all there... I just don't actually go through it much! ;)

Wow, Big Brother's everywhere! He's even gotten to you guys.

Can't argue with the fact that it's their equipment, and their time I'm on. Really sucks how many personal emails, conversations, etc took place before I found out about it though.

I use my cell phone now for kinky, mid-day calls to my girlfriend...

To any of you who get off on being Big Brother, you suck...

I typed up a very in depth and detailed policy about what was monitored and what was considered private (nothing!) and what constituted acceptable use of company computers. Every single new employee has to review and SIGN that 2 page policy (which is then put in their record) before they are allowed to touch company equipment.

To be honest, I turn a blind eye to 90%+ of what users are doing so long as they aren't abusing things (like when I found a whole department's use of internet radio being the reason for everyone else's bandwidth sucking) and so long as it does not appear that they are just surfing all day... I have an obligation to ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES to make sure that everyone does their job so that we can enjoy a company that is solvent.

of course, but there are no videos of it and with the quantity of logs my company has, they arent going through any of them.

Invasion of privacy, or right to know? What's your take?

Anyone know if they're being monitored too??

there is no poll

And no, BB does not want to know what I do at work. Plausible deniability is the rule where I work.

I'm sure a lot of places have the capability, I'm sure the place I work does, but I'm also sure that no one has enough man power to actually watch you all the time unless they have reason to.

If you are working, what is your concern?

Anyways, I know they monitor phone calls, loosly though. Habitual long distance abusers will get a nice bill to pay (it's happened).

Internet: They keep track of web use. They only care if somone reports you though and that can result in firing. So abuse away, just make sure your peers won't report you. I'm on a special part of the network though, so IT at my company can't tell who is abuisng, jsut that a general group of people are going to various sites.

To much to explain.
