Is Big Brother watching you at work?

It's come to light that Big Brother monitors me and fellow employee's phone calls, company emails, and is believed to have keylogger / screenshot software installed on our PCs.

Invasion of privacy, or right to know? What's your take?

Anyone know if they're being monitored too??

We have a nazi that watches camera's instead of doing something more productive, so yes.

their computers, their phones, their email system. You're SOL in the "right to privacy" arena if you're using their gear in a private environment. Don't like it? Try to change it or find a new employer.

Their phone, network, and computer systems so why would you assume you weren't being monitored?

Yep ... condition of work. Not really a problem though, since I don't participate in activities that could be considered disruptive. If the worst I do is nef in ATOT, they'll never come talk to me about it.

I know our internal network security guys have the capability to do so, so I generally assume that they are, but as far as I know, they don't.

yes everything i do here is monitored. how closely they actually pay attention is unknown but this day an age i just assume i am always being watched unless i am in my home and even then I sometimes put on a tin foil hat.

I can be big brother here but I choose not to. The only monitoring they do on our network is phone call logging (not recording). Websense runs to block inappropriate content also. But they have yet to actively monitor web activity. The threat is always there though.

no , you have no privacy rights at the workplace

if you don't like the rules, quit and go work someplace else

Me too... and everything (with regards to computers) is monitored and restricted.

Now the only problem is who is policing the police? ;)
