I don't know. Not all silicon is guaranteed to even hit 5.1GHz. TBH, the performance gain you'll get in trying to get to 5.1GHz over, say, 4.9GHz or 5GHz isn't a ton. You're better off spending less on the super fancy cooling and just putting the extra money towards a 9900K and a decent AIO cooler, which will give you a lot better multi-threaded performance out of the box.

Hope you like the board.

I'm not sure what they're charging for the 9900k right now, but I'm pretty sure you can get that and a decent AiO for less that 1000 Euros. Hell you can probably get that for less than 800 Euros. Just get something with a 360mm rad and call it a day. I can't make a specific recommendation but I'm sure someone here or in the Cases&Cooling forum can help you with that. Then you won't have to think about a 9600k or 9700k plus custom WC kit.

So you think that for the moment an aio and in the future a custom loop right?
The 1000€ is 9700k/9900K + ram + Water Cooling kit/AIO

You may not need a custom kit at all. An AiO should be enough to cool a 9900k, as long as you get one of the better units on the market. Make sure it will fit in your case.

Having to fit RAM into that budget may make things a bit tighter. If you have to save money on the CPU, get the 9700k. But I think you could still get a 9900k, 360mm AiO, and DDR4-3600 for 1000 Euros or less. I just don't know what merchants are charging in your country, so it's hard for me to say for sure. In the US, I could put together this selection:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ymMCcY

That's a 9900k, a Corsair AiO, and DDR4-3600 CAS 17, for $878 ($858 after rebates). That easily comes in under 1000 Euros.

Imho .. the 9600k is fine. I play games, edit video, on a 4.2ghz 4670k. You get +25% SC performance, +75% MC performance, i dont think you'd have any problems.
Also the aorus extreme ... jesus. How much was that ??
You know you can buy a $130 z390 and the results will be the same, yes?

Im saying that the aorus extreme is too expensive for what you get. There is very little benefit from buying a €500 mobo because the z390-p or the gigabyte z390 UD are almost identical and cost €150.
From your questions and choices i get the impression that this is your first PC.

First off, send that motherboard back and spend $175-$225 to get 99% of the quality and features. That's an insane amount of money to spend, especially if you aren't running a 9900k and custom loop.

9600K is a no go for me. The performance issues on FC5 alone are enough to make it a CPU I wouldn't consider. If those are your choices, 9700k all the way.

Also, no need for exotic cooling if you leave the 9700k/9900k at stock settings and run an updated bios that isn't overvolting the crap out of it. D15 will cool it just fine assuming you have a adequate case ventilation.

For the same money you could go with a 9900k, which is WAY faster at stock than a Max OC 9600k. You can do 5.1 or 5.2ghz with the right chip EASILY on a $200 mobo. You're blowing half your budget on a motherboard and receiving zero benefit over a motherboard half it's cost.

For the moment i buy the corsair dominator 16gb 2x8 with airflow and then the kit liquid and for the last the cpu !!!

Get the 9700k. Not sure why you are so hell-bent on getting a WC kit like that (AiO is cheaper, and all you really need, even for a 9900k) but to each his own.

Also dominator RAM usually = expensive for what you get.

I agree with @ozzy702 that your board choice really restricted your budget. A cheaper board and an AiO would have given you the budget for a 9900k which would realistically be your fastest option.

TLDR: mobo 2 expensif
