They had a big sale on 2 in 1 laptops again this week so I looked up five of them and only one is actually available. The other four can't even be ordered.

Maybe running their supplies out ......

It is a sale on an item that they don't have though and can't be ordered.

Also they barely had any hard drives, video cards, memory, pretty much everything was empty. Seems like they are just giving up at least in the computer area.

If the can't sell 2 in 1's what is left for them to showcase.

I also couldn't find any long Ethernet cable.

I really miss going to B&M, honestly. I have no nerdy places to hang out with friends anymore. Best Buy is mostly TV's & phones now. Back in the day, there was Radio Shack (RIP), Circuit City, CompUSA, etc.

back in the 90's I worked at Sears selling electronics. Back then electronics stores would clear out their inventory this time of year because the new models begin arriving late winter/early spring

A few years ago, I'd have cheered at the idea of Best Buy going out of business...but they've finally come around and accepted the fact that they're competing with Amazon and the other on-line retailers...so they now are willing to price match many of those places as well as the local B&M stores.
Yes, their drones still try to push the grossly over-priced Monster cables and extended warranties, but not nearly as aggressively as they once did.

by the way, Target.com lowered their minimum free shipping requirement to $25. so that means they're trying to compete with Amazon or closing all their B&M stores to focus on online retail.

I have no idea how BB stays in business. I used to love going there to buy stuff (way back when), but now I have a couple of gift cards that I got as Christmas presents, and I simply can't find anything even remotely worth buying. They are out of stock on so much stuff, they are overpriced on lots of other stuff, their service is horrible.

I think it's just a matter of time before they go under.
