Is beer an acquired taste?

I've tried so many different kinds of beer/alcohol and never much like any of them.
I've tried:
Heineken
TsingTao
White Soju
Sake
Martell
Malibu

They're all too bitter. I would like Malibu more if the initial taste wasn't so sweet. That and the after taste doesn't mix too well for me. Should I just stick with soda or keep experimenting with different brands?

Yeah, I'd say it is... but it's not too tough to acquire. I acquired it in college. We'd start with the "good stuff" (Coors Light) then when we got a buzz we'd switch to Bud Light (give me a break, I was poor!). Now I actually enjoy the taste of cheap American beer.

The way to like beer is to drink crap like Natty Light and the Beast to start off. Then you can drink anything. Worked for me. :p

Work twelve hours nonstop on your feet & then come home to a few SNPAs. You will enjoy beer that much more.

I wish I had thought of that before I learned to like it. :p

Alexander Keith's is the best beer I've had, yet I've not be privileged to try much German et al. beer... and I can't even get any Keith's here. :(

agreed but I tried to original brew... bleh tastes too bitter.

However guinness is still great compared to those watered down beers. Just drink water for god's sakes.

Have you tried MGD (Miller Genuine Draft)? I tried Corona and felt like puking. Ugh.

I don't know why, but I don't like drinking he last 2 sips at the bottom. Warm temperature and foaming tastes gross.
