Is ATOT filled with mean people?

Considering i've been lurking in ATOT for the last couple of years, since year 2000 at least, I agree somewhat that the number of intelligent topics and posts seems to have decreased.

But my poll was about "mean", and I don't think that has changed one bit..
People here hide behind anonymity and make really nasty remarks about other people that they wouldn't normally make in real life. Then again, its like that everywhere else...

Tho I'm afraid what would happen if ATOT should become a martha stewart haven....

yes, they are mean. every time i make a stupid mistake or punctuation error I am swiftly stipped of all humanity and emotionally abused until I go buy a gun.. fvckers. Ill show them all
 
A lot of posters are disconnected from real family (college students, single guys/girls) and being away from family leads to sad/unsure/bitter/confused times, and might be reflected in their posts.

Also, many people here are young, so immaturity in their post content is normal.

There must also be posters in here who are just pessimistic by nature and can?t help it. Some get their kicks by showing their superior geekiness in being knowledgeable early adopters and can?t understand why other morons like me are slow to adapt.

Some community members need to demonstrate more love, man
