Hi,

I E-mailed atacom.com today for a RMA on my OEM P3 700e. It seems to be one of the "lower" quality ones because i got nothing but "tearing" problems in many games when i pulled my old P3 500Mhz and slapped this into my brothers machine. I didn't notice it with 3DMark but when i ran UT, and The Infernal Machine it was very VERY bad. Plus at 700Mhz it was running at 60c. I had to down clock the Processor to 466Mhz and the tearing stopped this was on both a Aopen AX6BXC and a P3V4X.

Does anyone know if atacom is good about RMA's and Processors?? I am not going to get shipped back a crappy processor cause i am sending this one back... (i have had it happen to me many times but other companys)

ATAcom is pretty good about returns and customer service IMO. They work quickly in their office and are organized and get orders completed as fast as they can. I bought a MB from them, and they gave me a used one accidentally, so I took it back to them to exchange, and no questions asked for the swap.

As for processors, they should replace the processor pretty quickly without any hassle. Just call them up to make sure that it's being taken care of. And you shouldn't get a crappy processor back, it's probably just a fluke in the processor that they gave you. and hopefully they give you cB0 stepping one accidentally, like they did with me. good luck!
